is a lending library of things people can use for neighborhood activities and events. Pieces require assembly, but that’s the point: you are imagining a space and making a place where people want to gather. Items will be available to borrow starting fall/winter 2019.
Designs in our lending library come from Wikiblock, an open-source toolkit of designs for temporary pop-up features in streets or parks. Wikiblock is a project of Better Block Foundation, a nonprofit that educates, equips, and empowers communities and their leaders to reshape and reactivate built environments to promote the growth of healthy and vibrant neighborhoods.
Corvallis Bicycle Collective is a local nonprofit whose mission is to enhance health, sustainability, and happiness through bicycling. Our community, do-it-yourself bike shop offers no-cost use of tools and mentoring to anyone. We work to get more bikes under people and create conditions that empower people to ride. We are located at 707 NW 11th street.
A big thank you to The Reser Family Foundation and OSU Folk Club for generously supporting our work to build a lending library so we can activate our community to improve neighborhood livability and resiliency.
