Recycling Superheroes

These volunteers help attendees sort their waste into the correct bins.

Job Duties:
  • Manage one of the waste stations at a park
  • Help people sort their waste into compost, recycling and trash
Equipment Provided:
  • Disposable gloves
  • Compost/Recycling/Trash bin handouts

Compost
  • Food Scraps
  • Coffee grounds & filters
  • Tea bags
  • Yard debris
Recycling
  • Aluminum & tin cans
  • Cardboard (clean)
  • Paper (clean)
  • Plastic bottles, jugs, and #5 tubs
Trash
  • Coffee cups
  • “Compostable” servingware
  • Plastic bags
  • Plastic caps & lids
  • Styrofoam
